    What experience do I need to become a Briggs Home Care franchise owner?

    We seek people who are called to care for seniors and adults who need assistance to stay living comfortably in their homes. Prospective franchisees must be financially qualified with a strong managerial background, have a passion for service, and a natural sales ability. A medical or healthcare background is helpful, but not necessary. We are looking for business builders who understand the work we do and are excited about our mission.

    What is provided as part of the Briggs Home Care franchise program?

    When you join the Briggs Home Care family, we will provide an initial pre-opening one week training course, for you and one lead member of your staff. Ongoing support and refresher training will also be provided. In addition, you will have access to our exclusive confidential operations manual and training tools to help run your companion care franchise on a day-to-day basis.

    How much will the Briggs Home Care franchise program cost me?

    The total initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $97,285 to $146,440 per location. This includes a $50,000 initial franchise fee for a single unit agreement. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial growth stages.

    Is financing available?

    We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.

    Are there ongoing fees to pay?

    We charge a royalty fee equal to 5% of total gross revenues, and a software support fee of $500 per month for the first year (required) and $250 per month thereafter (optional). Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.     Are there any advertising fees?

    Franchisees will be required to spend the greater of 5% of monthly gross revenues or $300 each month on local marketing. Briggs Home Care franchisees will also contribute the greater of 2% of weekly gross revenues or $100 per month into the system brand fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Briggs Home Care brand.

    What is the term of the agreement?

    The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years.
